Danaë by Argos is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men, launched in 2021 and created by Christian Petrovich. The fragrance is inspired by Danaë, the famous 1907 painting by Gustav Klimt, a symbolist artwork representing divine love and transcendence. In Greek mythology, Danaë was imprisoned by her father Acrisius, king of Argos, yet Zeus visited her in the form of golden rain, a moment that later led to the birth of her son Perseus, the legendary hero known for defeating Medusa and rescuing Andromeda. Argos Danaë is a sensual and radiant composition that awakens the senses with bright Bergamot and Sicilian Lemon, creating a vibrant and luminous opening. The heart unfolds with the warm elegance of Cashmere Wood, Guaiac Wood, Cedar, and spicy Pink Pepper, adding depth and character.
